In order to meet the demand for our products, we purchased seven
acres of land in a modern industrial park in late 1998 and embarked
on construction of a state-of-the-art 42,000 square foot
manufacturing facility. The facility is nearly one acre under roof
and is divided into three buildings which house production,
finishing, and a new office complex.
The new production buildings are made of cast concrete, commonly
referred to as "tilt-up" construction. The facilities are
fully insulated and have ultra-modern environmental controls. The
company now has twelve paint spray booths with conveyor systems. A
thirty-one foot tall, 60 horsepower dust collector and a new dust
plenum were also added to help maintain a clean and productive work
environment. Every detail of this new facility was planned to allow
for the safest and most cost-effective production of our highly
custom shutter products.
The office complex has been designed with over 50 windows,
allowing us to showcase our custom shutter products to our customers
and local community. Additionally, the office complex has 12
executive style offices and two conference rooms. The office complex
has also been wired with CAT-6 computer cable to over 60 different
workstations to assist the functions of our computer network for now
and the years to come.
In 2005 an additional 47,000 square foot warehouse was built to
house our component inventory. Construction has now begun on an
additional 39,000 square feet, to accommodate the growth in both our
panel and distribution divisions. When completed in early 2006, this
will bring our facilities to a total of 113,000 square feet with two
acres of open land remaining for future development.
